Bio

Dr. Mehler is board  certified in veterinary surgery. He is a graduate of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University. Upon graduation, he completed a one-year rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine in Philadelphia. He then received his formal three-year surgical training at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine. After completing his surgical residency, he went on to join the faculty of surgery and interventional radiology at Michigan State University. As a new faculty member, Dr. Mehler developed and founded the Student Chapter of Veterinary Surgery, a student-run organization focused on advanced education and training for veterinary students in the field of surgery.

During his residency and faculty years, Dr. Mehler excelled in clinical research, publishing of research papers and book chapters, and received numerous teaching awards from the students, interns, and residents he was responsible for training. Dr. Mehler also worked at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of California, Davis where he provided surgical services and educated veterinary students and surgical residents in surgical oncology and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Mehler has provided similar services as a board-certified surgeon at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine.

Dr. Mehler has also worked in a private specialty hospitals in NY and Philadelphia and was the founder and past Chief of Surgery at Hope Veterinary Specialists and the Cofounder of Mainline Veterinary Specialists.

Dr.Mehler has also had extensive experience in industry, directly involved in the development of medical devices for companion animals, wound healing products, and the formulation and development of nutritional and nutraceuticals for the management of numerous conditions in dogs and cats. He is the past Chief Medical Officer of Infiniti Medical and Veterinarian Recommended Solutions and the current Chief Medical Officer of Prodogi.

Dr. Mehler is an internationally recognized lecturer, publisher, and researcher, and has traveled the world training veterinarians to be more proficient in the practice of surgery and interventional radiology. Dr, Mehler has also been featured on Television, Radio, Podcasts, and Commercials.
